Im current 37 +2 pregnant - I called the pregnancy advice line last weekend due to reduced movements and went in, I was put on the monitors and everything was fine while on the monitors however they sent me for an ultrasound scan on the Monday as it showed low fluid around the baby. I was then kept in hospital from Monday to Thursday with twice daily monitoring which were all fine except once night i didn’t feel any movements when on the monitor and one night the heart rate kept dropping to 80 in short periods then returning to normal and then re monitoring a few hours later done and the same happened with a few drops, the next monitoring in the morning was fine with no drops, I also had a scan again yesterday Thursday which showed that the fluid had increased to a normal level and everything on the scan was fine so I was discharged. However today I have felt no movements again all day and I becoming really worried about the lack of movements but also not wanting to go back again. Any advice?

Go back. Immediately. Go back every day if you have to. I was there every day for other complications at one point. Doesn't matter at all. I met some other frequent fliers 😂.

The midwives will not care and you're unlikely to ever see them again. You'll never regret being sure baby is OK. Only time you'd regret would be not going in when needed to.

Hi OP, did you go back in?

I'm sure all is OK but you simply cannot risk it at your gestation, go in every single time. By the end of my first pregnancy I was invited to come in for daily monitoring as reduced movements had become such an issue. I was never made to feel like a nuisance and, even if I had been, I still would have kept going in.

I had pre-eclampsia by 36 weeks and it was found on a scan not long after that my little one had basically stopped growing so my section was brought forward.

DD is now a healthy 4 year old.

Really really hope you've gone back in to get checked out.

Thinking of you OP

Keep going back. It doesn't matter how much of a pest you feel, the health of your baby matters more

Definitely go back and get checked

Hope everything is ok. This was me with my first. Went in about 5 times kept getting told everything was fine. Had a really strong gut feeling it wasn't, I just knew. She was born with sepsis which they didn't pick up on either until I said she's not right and they whisked her away. Mothers instinct is a very real thing! X

My daughter had regular RFM and was checked out at least 5times over 2 weeks.
She was eventually induced at 37 weeks. The rationale was that getting baby out was the only way to be 100% certain she was ok ,which she was . I hope you have been checked again op X

Springadorable · 26/08/2024 13:19

Hope you're ok OP x

You need to go in again. They don't think you're lying when he moves on the monitor and they should offer induction after three episodes of reduced movements at term. Go in.
