Beta slowing down - normal or not?

I'm so scared and worried, hoping someone can offer some advice or reassuring words.

We have previously had 2 missed miscarriages and 3 miscarriages, now I am pregnant again and very scared. I have tested my beta numbers and my values are

3w5d - 204
4w - 714
4w3d - 3888
4w5d - 9131
5w - 17,135
5w3d - 40,021
5w5d - 58,714
6w - 73,123

Since the last increase was only 25%, my gynecologist called and told me to prepare for things to go bad. I know it's supposed to slow down as the numbers get higher but it feels like it's slowing down too much and too soon? In our only pregnancy which became our beloved son, it still increased by around 45% when I had these numbers.

My clinic doesn't do ultrasounds before 8 weeks but would see if they could do it at 7 weeks but don't know how I'll stand even the next few days.

Aw I remember worrying about the percentage increase too at 6ish weeks, you're right re doubling time - can't remember the exact info but after a certain level of hcg, the doubling time slows down quite a bit.

Could you schedule a private early scan for reassurance? I done that at 6+1 as I just needed to know if it was going well.

Ps your hcg levels are high which is good to see!

as I understand it, it should slow down after 6000 but still be at an increase of 35% in two days and not just 25% as I had last time. I am so sad and worried, it is horrible to be pregnant after so many losses. Can you see the heart around 6w3d? Otherwise, it will probably get worse with ultrasound so early?

I remember the midwife saying you would be able to see something on scan if over 6k hcg, so if your hcg is that high - its definitely likely you'll see a heartbeat. Hugs to you though, I know how stressful it is, I found a scan was good to know if pregnancy was progressing OK.

Ps I went at 6w 1 day and they were able to visualise a heartbeat, keeping everything crossed for good results for you x

I had a scan at 6 weeks exactly and we saw a little heartbeat. So an early scan certainly can give you some reassurance.
But, the issue with early scans is they may cause more anxiety unnecessarily as if you don’t see a heartbeat you won’t know if it’s just too early or because something is wrong. So you need to decide how you would feel in that circumstance. If it’ll be the worst thing for you to not see a heartbeat and have to live with uncertainty, then try to hold out another week until you’re 7 weeks when a heartbeat is more likely.
I do feel for you, these early weeks of pregnancy following miscarriage are really tough and you just gotta do all you can do manage your well-being.
good luck to you.
