Campfire fumes

I am 16 weeks pregnant. So I was around a campfire last night. Didn’t even second guess the fact I was inhaling loads of smoke for about 3 hours. When I got up I realised how ill I felt, as in spaced out, headache, feel sick, and so tired. I went to sleep feeling so ill. Woke up feeling better, but chest feels heavy. I am SO worried I have affected my little baby. I am besides myself I did this! I am usually so careful but I just did not think at all. Has anyone been in a similar situation to this or have a clue why I felt so bad and if I made any damage to baby?

You posted about the same issue (here: Earlier post ) this morning and people responded to you then with their advice. As the other posters said, your baby is highly unlikely to have been impacted by this. However, you could call your community midwife team to mention this to them as it doesn’t seem like what people say on here will reassure you. Then as you’re highly anxious it would be good to mention your anxiety to your midwife at your next appointment so you can get some ongoing support

@FirstTimeMum1608 thank you for your reply. I have reworded my forum as the responses I was receiving were telling me that the symptoms I was experiencing were related to pregnancy symptoms. I am asking for help as I know the symptoms are not normal to feel. Sorry if I was a bother 💞 I’m just super worried and I want to ensure I have explained my position clearly in my post x

You need to contact your midwife and ask, as clearly no response anyone here gives you is going to reassure you.

@GreenFlamingo11 as I said in my previous post, I did not give full details of it in my original post. Responses saying ‘that’s normal pregnancy symptoms’ is not what I asked, especially when I am fully aware of my own pregnancy symptoms. Sorry

Surely contact your midwife, GP or 111. Don’t get medical advice on here.

As per your previous post, your baby is fine. Seek help for your anxiety- GP first port of call.

All the symptoms you have described in this post could also be pregnancy symptoms - I have suffered with all of them and do not have carbon monoxide poisoning. If you are worried you need to contact your midwife as others have said.

OP, I mean this in the kindest way possible, and this is coming from someone who has had incredibly bad anxiety during pregnancy. You need to speak to a midwife and get referred to your hospital's mental health team. You can't continue on the rest of your pregnancy with this level of unchecked anxiety.
