Numbness in thigh when sleeping?

Just wondering if anyone has had this - Google says it's due to my uterus growing and putting pressure on the nerves in my legs but it's the weirdest feeling ha!

It ONLY happens when I sleep on my back (which I do quite a lot), I'll wake up to turn, go to the bathroom or whatever reason, and either my left or right thigh will be numb, as if it's dead like when you sit on your foot for too long or something. Pins and needles and super tingly/numb. Again it only happens if I sleep on my back. Has anyone else had this?

I'm only 7+4, very sensitive boobs and tummy but obviously no bump or anything yet

Not had it on my back, but I have when I sleep on my side and I've been diagnosed with sciatica from my glutes (compression of the sciatic nerve causing numbness, bear in mind I'm now 29 weeks and have had it from about week 21). I do get it when I sit up too, it depends on positioning. I think it's definitely worth mentioning to your midwife as my symptoms are all tied up with PGP and I'm having physio and doing stretches, so the fact you're having this so early could mean you'll have problems later and it's better to get it checked into to see if there's any stretches or anything that you can do. NHS advice is also that you're not meant to sleep on your back after about week 28 because of compression of a blood vessel that def won't be being compressed in you just yet but it's worth bearing in mind for later! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x
