sorry to hear your pregnancy has been worrying for you.
a cervical scan in itself isn’t worrying (obviously it’s a bit weird/different to usual).
I had a full term pregnancy after Lletz procedure (they didn’t highlight it as a risk so wasn’t scanned - it was 15 years ago so process may have changed).
I had a stitch with my third pregnancy as my second baby was early but it was a planned stitch at 16 weeks. It was carried out under epidural and I went home the next day.
the stitch itself was fine - I didn’t feel it day to day. The stitch did its job as I was 2cm dilated when they took it out so I feel it was positive to have the stitch.
I had regular scans up to 28 weeks I think.
It was removed at 36 weeks under epidural again and baby came at 41 weeks - natural home birth.
I have a friend who they monitored and put the stitch in later and her pregnancy was fine (as far as I know) and went to term.
I know it’s stressful and having a Consultant led pregnancy is not ideal but it’s honestly positive that they are monitoring you.
There will be lots of people who didn’t need a stitch but I just wanted to share that having a stitch, while it feels invasive and not necessarily pleasant they are doable and obviously help to ensure a positive outcome.
I hope you’ve found this helpful.
Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy - try to enjoy it. I hope you have good support around you.
xx
