I am 19 weeks pregnant. For the past week I've had a painfull left foot / ankle I don't even no how I've done it but it's making it difficult to walk. Husband telling me to go a&e but I feel stupid as it doesn't look swollen and doesn't look bruised but I'm walking with a limp. I have two other children and it has been hard entertaining them as finding difficult to walk. The mornings are better but gets painful at night. Do I just try rest it or go a&e just wondered what other people would do in this situation.

Definitely not a&e. GP or minor injuries. Hope it gets better soon.

A decent, evidence based osteopath? It's something my DH would be able to help with

If you can't weight bear on it I'd head to minor injuries, this isn't a service for emergencies but they should be able to assess. Although as no swelling doesn't sound like pregnancy related I think it's wise to see someone.

Not sure if you have them but when I was pregnant my hospital had maternity triage. My gp sent me to them for arm pain at one point, total avoidance on their part but the triage team were amazing. Do you have anything like that? I'm in Scotland but know NHS varies massively

Hollytrees1 · 11/08/2024 12:49

No we don't have a triage. I am trying to hold out until tomorrow bur it is so painful when I walk I am in tears
