Does anyone else’s baby not move / kick much

I’m 32 weeks pregnant & my baby has active periods during the day but I would say the majority of the day I can’t feel him move. I didn’t really think much of it but started my antenatal classes and the other ladies were complaining that their babies don’t stop and it’s impacting their sleep / throwing off their concentration in meetings etc.

is it normal that some babies just aren’t as active or I just can’t feel it so much?? Also most of his movement isn’t kicking either it’s just moving / stretching. It’s pretty consistent each day so not like he’s moving less, just seems to have plenty of quiet time too.

My first barely moved at all - I had some active periods eg just as I was going to bed, but mostly very very little. No idea where placenta was but it can mask movement?
he is absolutely fine. If I’d had my second first I’d have worried cos the second was so active I could see him kicking’. I was shocked and my mum laughed at me then I explained I’d basically barely felt older one.
BUT there wasn’t anything to worry about with my first. NHS recommend thinking about changes in movement as being something to notice - not the older count the kicks type stuff - because if the pattern or level of your baby’s movement is different it might be worth getting checked, but you probably just have a baby you don’t feel as much.

Mine wasn't she had me up the walls I would lay awake at night trying to get her to kicked also the position of the placenta didn't help. I went into be checked once and as soon as I got there she kicked . Now that she is here I see why , she isn't a kicker and is pretty chilled . Obviously if you're worried always get it checked but some babies are just more active than others.

My OB always say that every baby is different and their pattern is unique. Whenever that pattern is different then you should go to the hospital.

Have you talked to your OB or midwife? Every time I see her I ask about movements patterns, I also get stressed about it.

Were you told the position of the placenta at your scans? I had anterior placenta for my second and third pregnancies and the movements felt reduced compared to my first. The placenta was cushioning the blows!
