Bugaboo

Hi,
Im currently 21 weeks pregnant & myself & DH are in the process of looking at prams for our "soon to be" addition to our family.
After looking at several sites & stores for different types of prams we have settled on either a mamas & papas one or a Bugaboo. We have been advised against the m&p one as it seems to be one of the prams stores have the most problems with.
Due to this we are quite keen on the bugaboo. What impresses us mostly is how light it is, im only 4ft 11in so don't want something that I will struggle with, both weight and height wise. DH on the other hand is over 6ft! So we need something that suits us both.
Can anyone offer us any advise on the Bugaboo and if you have one how do you find it? Is it easy to manouvere, fold down, use etc.
Your comments would be appreciated.:0

Wegpt a Jane 3 wheeler and don't think we could have done better. FOr what its worth!

I've been all through this myself and thought I was definitely going to get a Bugaboo, then I thought I might get an Xplory or a Mutsy, but I've decided now on a Jane Powertrack 360. I know very well that overwhelmed feeling too and can sympathise.

Thats the one we've got Charleypops and are v pleased with our decision. Its so hard though I agree, we spent months trawling round shops and looking on the internet. Its a big expense and you don't want to get it wrong I agree

The child's head goes between the handle and the buggy. The only thing is that with the urban it does have a tendency to have to balance point rather far forward (ie have a tendency to tip forward)- however the ONLY time is has tipped forward is when my toddler was climbing in it when she shouldn't!

I still love it and would recommene it a hundred times to everyone. (But I saw a woman with a Buggaboo in Sainsburys today and thought it does look cool (and she had a tiny baby in it!!!) )

I guess that is the obvious place, cazzybabs, lol. It's just there's def not enough room on explorer, & mountain buggy seems same from this respect..? Do you have a newer model?

I totally second leahbump. Yes it is alot of money to outlay but I promise you that it is worth it. It is so light and easy to manovere. I also like the fact that it starts out as a pram and then into a pushchair. I just got the cosytoes for it as well and by DD loves it!

I've just ordered a Bugaboo and we found Glasgow Pram Centre pretty competitive. DH is out otherwise he'd give you all the details. I think they have a website and were doing 5% off recently - not much I know but they never seem to be discounted.

I chose it because it was so light and the Maxi Cosi car seat that clips onto it came out second safest in the Which? car seat safety tests. The first safest was a Britax Iso Fix car seat but if you want a travel system the Britax pushchairs are much heavier. The chassis fits into the boot of a Golf quite happily.

I love the way it looks.

I haven't tried it, so don't know, but I recommend anyone going through the daunting task of buying the 1st pushchair to borrow a toddler. I thought mine was really light & easy to manoeuvre at 1st - and it was - with a new born in. Different story with a 17 kilo toddler tho! Lots of friends also say their pushchair felt wonderful when they chose it, but was really heavy to push when thier child was over. I think 4 non-swivel wheeled puschairs for example would be back-breaking.
