Pulsatile tinnitus, HELP

I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from what I can only gather is pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear alone for the last 6 weeks. Anyone else had this and it then going away after birth?

I have seen GP for antibiotics and also ENT who said it could potentially be Eustachian tube dysfunction. He gave me a steroid nasal spray and recommended using an Otovent but this hasn’t done anything.

It is driving me absolutely crazy and really is ruining my pregnancy. I’m also terrified that if this continues it will also ruin everything after the birth if it doesn’t go away :( it’s making me feel so down and depressed.

Any advice welcome 🤗

I don't have any advice but I'm 32 weeks and for the past week, I've had this too. Mine is in my left ear and the only thing that stops it is tilting my head sideways to the left. I'm really hoping it goes away for both of us. It is so annoying and concerning too!

Yes I think mine started around the same time as yours! I’ve read that it can be increased blood flow or because of increase hormone levels. Midwife wasn’t too concerned or the ENT when I went so I’m trying to not think worse case scenario!….but fingers crossed for us both that it goes away when our little ones have arrived! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Yes! I did ask for blood pressure and iron levels to be checked and all look absolutely fine!🙂

I developed this 4months post Road traffic accident. Had it for 7 years and my pregnancy "cured" mine.
I had an MRI last couple years due to pain and they found out I have Trigeminal Neurologica on the same side. So not sure if the 2 were related.

I coped by sleeping on the effected side to apply pressure which dulled the sound. And using earphones a lot. My Gp was not concerned. Pretty useless. All i was told was to sleep with earphones with Music to drown it out.

I hope you find answers and coping methods.
