Faint positive - heavy bleed - darker positive

I had a very faint positive after missing my period, then bled heavily for five days and assumed it was chemical. I tested today a week later following sore boobs and whilst it’s faint it’s darker than pre bleed. I’m going for a blood test in EPAU tomorrow. I don’t know what to think. I have previous miscarriages and a son born at 38+2 who died at 14 hours old. I struggle to comprehend this might be good news and more worrying what we are facing next in terms of ectopic or incomplete miscarriage. Has anyone had anything similar and had good news?

All individual photos are post bleed. The photo of three together is pre bleed.

Are they not able to do a scan yet? I'm so sorry you're experiencing this, I can understand why you'd be worried, however I think it's actually fairly common to bleed in pregnancy. More common than people think it is. Maybe try giving Tommy's a call as they're usually pretty good at reassuring people.

They said they wouldn’t scan on levels below 4000. My numbers today are 940 so are increasing. Will wait and see what they suggest tomorrow x

They can't see much on a scan until you hit 4000, so it doesn't really reassure you. I've been in that situation a couple of times, it is really hard to wait. I was at risk of a repeat ectopic so had to go to EPU as soon as I had a positive test and they did do repeat bloods until they cou scan and see the location with certainty. bloods roughly double every 48 hours - 72 hours, so should be able to scan you in a week or less I would have thought, you just need it to double twice more. Fingers crossed for you.
