I just went to the toilet and well it wasn't really blood but a light pink(Very very light) discharge on the tissue. I have no pain at all and feel normal.

Am I worrying about nothing? Could it just be normal pregnancy discharge?

Thanks

try not to worry, it isn't achieving anything at all. i bet it's the shagging.

laughalot · 14/04/2008 13:49

I had bright red bleeding with both of mine and all was ok. Take it easy xx

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 13:49

Kayz - can I make a suggestion . I don't think that another phone call is going to help. We have already established that you can't really do a diagnosis over the phone and NHS direct likely to tell you to see GP / go to EPU / ring MW etc so taking you no furher forward. I really think you'd feel better just having your feet up and trying to think about something other than what's causing this.

If it's not getting worse, then chances are it'll be fine. Take care and step away from the phone .

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 13:54

Yeah you are right. I don't think they will help.

There is nothing you can do about it either way..if it is meant to be a mc there is nothing that can be done to stop it. I would try to relax and just get on with your day as normal.

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 14:05

I gave in and rang NHS direct who said it was probably just discharge and it is is common in pregnancy and its normal for it to be a slight pink colour.

She was more interested in trying to find out why I felt sick and asked me 32 questions to then tell me it was Morning Sickness.

MrsMacaroon · 14/04/2008 14:11

they worry more if you have pain with bleeding... sickness is a good sign!

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 14:18

I couldn't believe it took 32 questions to tell me I had morning sickness. I already knew that.

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 14/04/2008 14:21

no, that's far from the point. those 32 questions, had you answered differently, would have taken you to other diagnoses. of which morning sickness is the most benign... so stop moaning and get on with being pregnant.

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 14:22

Yes Ma'am

I must be ok, I'm still craving lemonade ice lollies

Best thing to do is ring your doctor. Im 6 weeks now, i had slight bleeding at about 4 weeks, my doctor rung EPU and arranged an appointment. EPU done a scan last thursday and they could just about make out the foetal sack and have now booked an appointment for when im 7 weeks to see if they can see a heartbeat.

LobstersLass · 14/04/2008 17:05

Hi kayz

I had exactly this last night. The difference being that when I phoned NHS direct they scared the shit out of me and told me that I had to see a doctor "this evening" i.e. last night.

So, at 9.30pm we went to hospital. I was there until 4am.
They took a urine sample and bloods and did an internal investigation. I've got to go back tomorrow for a scan and back the next day to get my bloods done again.

The daft thing is that during the SIX AND A HALF HOURS that I was at the hospital, the discharge pretty much stopped.

I wish I'd never phoned as I spent the whole time worried sick. My blood levels were very low, so they think that it might be much earlier than I think.

I'm taking comfort from the fact that it's stopped.

How ridiculous that we both had such conflicing advice.

Anyway, fingers crossed for both of us. xx

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 17:14

How strange.

I haven't had any more discharge and I feel fine, not had any cramps or anything.

I hope you'll be ok LobsterLass. xx

Fingers crosesd everything will be ok, I know it doesn't help much but I have had this with 3 of my lo's and all was well.

Implantation bleeding can easily happen between 5-8 weeks, whilst the embryo might initially implant at around 4 weeks (or before a bfp)they often 'burrow' in further which can cause a little implantation bleed.

Wishing you all the best

xxxx

LobstersLass · 14/04/2008 17:44

No, I've not had any cramps either.
I've had the occasional stabbing sensation - not strong enough to be called pain. Felt like someone was poking me - but that's been on both sides and pretty much central so I'm not worrying about that either.

spiderpig thanks for your comments, that's really reassuring to me.

mrschop · 14/04/2008 17:50

I'll add my thoughts - I had light bleeding/discharge every day from 6 to 10 weeks, apparently it's not 'normal' but it is very common. Hope you are both OK.

LobstersLass · 14/04/2008 18:04

Oh, mrschop, thank you for taking the time to post that. All of these messages are helping to keep me sane. .

kayzisexpecting · 14/04/2008 18:08

Thanks to everyone.

WombFor1More · 14/04/2008 20:56

I had this loads with ds2. From early onuntil nearly 18weeks. Scared the poop out of me everytime. I have to say though that a lotbit of it was probably down to the sex

I'm sure it will be fine. It's great that you feel sick and have no more bleeding or and pain.

Stop panicing

JossStick · 15/04/2008 09:42

Kayz - how are you this morning?

kayzisexpecting · 15/04/2008 13:35
