Tips for getting through third trimester discomfort? Really struggling

I'm only 33 weeks and I've been uncomfortable for a while but the past week I've just got to a point where I can hardly function and I still have 3 weeks left at work.

Heartburn, constant acid reflux, sickness has returned, excruciating hip and lower back pain, struggling to get out of bed/roll over in bed/walk, leg cramps, needing to wee non stop, night sweats, dizzy spells... the list goes on!!

I'm so grateful to be carrying my precious baby but the thought of another 7 weeks of this makes me want to cry. Any tips on getting through this last stretch would be so appreciated!

Can work make any further adjustments to make life more tolerable at work? You can always ask for another risk assessment.
Have you got some things you enjoy/that relax you planned in for the next month to give you some checkpoints to feel you can work towards?
Have you been open with friends and family about how tough you're finding it? Or if not, your midwife?
Sending solidarity, I am only 24 weeks but am starting to feel the same way, and feeling quite apprehensive about the next few months.

Are you on anything for the heartburn/reflux? I tried Gavisgon advance from the GP and am now on Omeprazole and it's honestly made so much difference, it's even helped with nausea abit as my stomach isn't so acidic. I'd also recommend sleeping with a pillow between your legs and sitting on a birthing ball rather then a sofa I find helps with hip/lower back pain....as for the other stuff I'm afraid it's all just part of being pregnant 😅 I'm on pregnancy number 4 and I've still not figured out a good way of turning over in bed without waking DH up cos of all the grunting and bouncing around.

Hi!
I am 29 weeks and also struggling. I saw a private physio who did acupuncture and some massage and it really helped my pain! I am due to go again on Friday.
Also get a birth ball and sit on this to help with the pain…
Omeprazole definitely does help with reflux/acid, you must take it every day not just “as and when”
Not long to go! Good luck xx

First pregnancy I had quite bad back pain. I went to see a chiropractor and that completely cured it. Onto pregnancy number two now and also feeling very hot at night! I just cool the room down as much as possible, only sleep with a light blanket on me, crank the fan up!

As others have said get to your GP and get omeprazole and Gaviscon on prescription. They were a life saver for me.
Talk to your midwives about the physical discomfort. I was sent on a half day course all about how to hold your body whilst pregnant. It’s all about keeping your hips aligned. The course was actually really helpful - they showed you how to get out of bed/in and out of a car etc. You might have symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) so it’s worth chatting to your midwives and asking for information.
Get a knee pillow for nighttime!
I hope it gets easier for you!!

Swimming helps my back and hips a lot, also pregnancy yoga classes. And stretching throughout the day.
