Does anything concern you on my 12 week scan?

I had my 12 week scan on Thursday (12+5) and was told the Nuchal translucency is 4.3mm - I'm 24 years old and this is my first pregnancy so everything is super new, especially now!

I've had my bloods taken to test for Down syndrome, Edward's syndrome and Patau syndrome - they have fast tracked my results for Monday. I have an anatomy scan booked for Wednesday where specialists will take a closer look at baby.

Does anything on my scan concern you just by looking at it?

Ah no, don't invite people to mess with your head - save it for the medical professionals. All I can tell you is that your baby is a good looker with a fine sense of humour 🙂

There is absolutely nothing that a lay person can say about your scan photo I’m afraid. I know the wait for test results is horrendous (I’ve been there myself), so I hope they come through quickly for you. I will say that doing an NIPT was the right thing to do for my mental health so maybe it’s something you’d want to look in to regardless of what the NHS stats come back as. Best of luck 😊

Why are you asking internet randoms? You need some level of trust in the medical professionals otherwise you’re going to find the rest of pregnancy and having a baby very tough.

I saw your other post asking the same question and I can only imagine how worried you must be, but in the kindest way possible, none of us are going to know if your baby is healthy by just looking at your scan photo. You mentioned you have been fast tracked and are likely to get the blood results tomorrow so it's not long to wait and you will know either way. An NT measurement on its own is not guaranteed to be either good or not good news, which is why bloods are done. You may even be offered a NIPT test which is more accurate, so fingers crossed for you for tomorrow.
