Is there a point in pregnancy where you can actually relax? I feel like such a ball of anxiety permanently.... 🙁I am 14 weeks on Saturday and am having an NIPT test as NHS couldn't get the measurements due to position. I just need someone to say "it will all be ok" I know that's an impossibility but not sure my anxiety will last for the duration!! Sorry for the post!!

Probably not what you want to hear but my Mum is still anxious about me and I am 40 this year..... I think if you are an anxious person then kids will give you lots to be anxious about for many years to come, unfortunately!

Personally I tend to reassure myself with statistics and the odds are very much stacked in your favour at 14 weeks. Good luck, I am sure everything will be fine :-)

Thank you!! I absolutely agree! My mum still worries about me too!!!!! I’m not usually an anxious person but think I may have become one !! Xx

FWIW I found that I have become less anxious (currently at 31 weeks) since I have been able to feel baby moving regularly (which for me was around 21 weeks). Before that it feels so mystical about if they're even in there and certainly whether they're okay in there, whereas now I am getting little reminders all the time that he's wriggling around so I feel like I know he's doing all right? Obviously for some people it doesn't translate that way and they may be worried about whether movements are frequent or strong enough, but from my own experience this stage has been less anxious than the early bit. (Of course, soon I will have the actual birth impending so probably a different kind of anxiety, but you can enjoy the middle bit at least!)

Thank you! I can’t wait to feel movements!! I’m sure I will find it a comfort!! Not long to go for you!!! Hope all goes well for you!! Take care xx

Hey! Hope you’re ok. I’m not sure but could
you speak to your midwife about your anxiety and mental health? I’ve seen you post lots of things and your anxiety seems to be through the roof which won’t be doing you or the baby any good. Just thinking it could be worth having someone to chat through your fears with. I felt the same (IVF baby after 7 years of trying to conceive) and have been very anxious but have managed to calm a bit after my scan and NIPT test. What you’re feeling is normal but I do worry you’ll be like this at every stage. I’m sure everything will be totally fine (as most pregnancies are) but I definitely think you could do with some professional support. ❤️

Thanks for the reply! I’m not permanently anxious just have bouts of panic and post on here as it feels like a safe space, but I will mention it to my midwife, my baby is also an IVF baby as I have diminished ovarian reserve I am 26. So this feels like a one and only chance.i am hoping to settle after my NIPT test too! Here’s hoping! Good luck with everything 💗

At 14 weeks you are well and truly out of the danger zone as the majority of losses occur before 12 weeks. You should be proud of yourself and relax and enjoy your pregnancy. I think you'll be absolutely fine. Grab yourself some chocolate and put your feet up. You're going to be an amazing mumma xx

Thank you 🩷 I think chocolate will certainly help !!!
