Baby measuring a week ahead on both scans... is this normal?

Does anyone have experience with baby measuring ahead?

This is my first baby and I am coming up to 23 weeks (according to my baby's measurements).

Since my first scan I have been measuring exactly one week ahead which is fine but since I tracked everything, period dates, ovulation dates, it makes no sense that she would be a week ahead so it is worrying me just slightly.

I definitely ovulated on the 10th of March. I was testing the whole month and the only time we did the baby dance was around that date. Doing the math, Sunday I should be 22 weeks right? At my anomaly scan she was still a week ahead exactly as she is hitting the correct measurements for everything based on a baby a week ahead.

My question is - is this normal, is there anything I should be worrying about and has anyone else experienced similar?

On my second FET pregnancy know know timing exactly, and I've measured ahead on both pregnancies. Your EDD is just based on size at 12 weeks - if you happen to make slightly larger babies, you'll be given an earlier EDD. Not everyone's baby is the same size. Its nothing to be concerned about

Sorry, I don't know, but well done for having your data pinned down so tightly. As a scientist, I really hear you on all those details. If this was a job interview, I would be hiring you like a shot. :-)

I think the baby will probably be fine, but might be quite exacting on matters of detail. You probably want to practise cutting up carrots in just the right way, iykwim.

I also have a scientist child, and cutting up food right is a very necessary skill.

Good luck.

Its not a big deal, baby sizes vary from the average.

The “baby dance” though 🤢

The part that's normal is that once they start scanning you they will only accept the info from the scans.

Because my husband was away at a certain time, I knew exactly when I had conceived but no one wanted to know. It only mattered what the computer said.

Being one week out is not a big deal. They make such a fuss about those scans but the truth is that the 'sizing' feature is not v. accurate which is why they won't do one at 39 or 40 weeks to determine whether you should probably have a C-section.

Edited

Just what I’ve seen other people on the forum call it.. not that I particularly like it.

Thanks anyway 😂
