I had my first baby at the beginning of February this year he is almost 6 months old and due to pre-eclampsia had to have a C section which healed very fast and have had no problems with, my periods have been all over the place and even tho contraception has been used I have just found out I'm pregnant again and I am worried and scared that I'm going to be told it's not safe to continue this pregnancy among other things, I am even due to see the nurse regarding the implant in a couple of weeks, (bit late now I know) I just need any advice on what to do or has anyone been in this situation?? Please help 😕😔

Hi, I believe there are medication that decrease the risk of preeclampsia, like low dose aspirin. If you want to keep the baby you could explore all your options and even get a second opinion. I know someone who got had a lot of complications during pregnancy and labor, she got pregnant again within 3/4 months and it went well. All pregnancies are different and you can explore what you could to decrease risks as much as possible.

Thank you for your response, I think also playing on my mind is what are the midwives and doctors going to think, I know I'm not the first or the last person to get pregnant again so quick but I can't help all these thoughts and feelings, I know I need to refer myself to the midwives again to get the ball rolling but I keep putting it off so far this week.

I had pre eclampsia in one of my pregnancy and take low dose aspirin so don’t think that would be an issue I think the bigger concern may be that you had a c section and are pregnant so soon after I would contact your gp and see if you can speak to a midwife or someone about the risks xx
