Help pls!! I'm trying to conceive baby number 2. Opk tracking this month... However previously I had to have clomid and progesterone pessaries for my successful pregnancy due to recurrent MC... My question - will NHS represcribe clomid and or progesterone now I have a child?

I cant comment on clomid as I've not used that, but yes I was able to get progesterone prescribed during my recent pregnancy, my second child. Slightly different in that my mc were after baby 1. I don't see why they wouldn't prescribe the same protocol for you this time.

I got a progesterone pescription from NHS and already have a child

@Chasingbaby2 @Letsgotitans who prescribed you the progesterone? Just your GP?

Unlikely. I got 'reset' for recurrent MC on the NHS after I had DC1 as apparently it has to be 3 concurrent MC. I was recurring before DC1 then had DC1, 2 more MC then DC2.

I had to battle for a new progesterone pessaries prescription with DC2 pregnancy but battle I did. They eventually prescribed them when I went in for threatened MC and bleeding.

Was that from epu?

No they refused to see me because I hadn't had my booking in appt by then. I had the number from EPAU from my previous experience but they wouldn't see me because I'd had a live birth between MC.

It was a battle with my GP surgery. GP wouldn't see me because I said I was pregnant and bleeding, they said I needed to speak to my midwife. I was a week away from my booking appt (it was scheduled) so as I hadn't been booked-in the MW wouldn't see me either and said I had to go to GP. Eventually an 'on the day' GP felt sorry for me I think when I burst into tears on the phone when they finally got back to me out of hours.

A private doctor did whilst I was waiting for the NHS appointment with the fertility clinic, then once I got an appointment the NHS doctor did

GPs won't normally get involved. I got mine from a recurrant miscarriage clinic, at a neighbouring trust, not my own. I had a written letter from Professor Brosens to use it from 3dpo not from positive test, and the consultant I was under followed that. It can be a case of shopping around to get the help you need unfortunately.
