Are there any reasons why women’s bodies don’t go into labour despite being induced? I had every option and in the end had an emergency c section.

just want to understand possible reasons why my body didn’t respond at all. I was 40.+ 5 when I delivered

I'd love to know too. My dc was finally delivered at 42+3 after 3 days of pessaries, broken waters and drips. Luckily we were both OK and she's now a fabulous teenager, but no one has ever been able to explain how it happens.

Hope you and your baby are doing well.

Sometimes your body is just not ready. Your oxytocin receptors build up towards the end or pregnancy ready to respond to your body's natural oxytocin release when baby is ready to come. If it's not the right time, no amount of synthetic induction medication will create an effective labour contraction pattern.
There's a very interesting evidence based book called 'in your own time' that explains induction really well.
