I’m 39 with most types of early loss under my belt and no living children (MMC, MC, CP, PUL) so you can imagine I’m pretty on edge and full of trauma.

I’ve recently lost a lot of weight and my ovulation went from day 18/19 to day 14 this cycle - I couldn’t believe it!

Anyway, I know we can’t go by the home tests alone and I’ve had two blood tests so far.

3w6d - HCG 17
4w1d - HCG 48

This time around I have progesterone pessaries which is something I’ve been asking for for years and on the first result they did the usual test of progesterone and it was 70.1 (they said they’d be happy with 30) but I realise the HCG was super low.

In the picture, the tests are from when I was 15DPO and 18DPO today - I’m scared this will be another loss. Does anyone have similar experiences - positive or negative - to share with me please. You have no idea how much I’d appreciate it so I can prepare ❤️‍🩹 x

Hiya, I am so so sorry for your losses, my heart goes out to you, can't imagine what you've been through. I am also 39 and currently 7w3d pregnant with no. 2. V lucky to have a 19 month old DD, but I did have a loss the cycle before falling pregnant with this 2nd one so am pretty anxious in these first weeks also...

My immediate thought on looking at your post was the tests you're using... I used these ones, but I also used Easy@home strips, and FRERs and CB digitals (call me crazy I know)... And I was a pretty fanatic tester in the early days of this pregnancy... My results on these particular strips were always faint and showed no particular progression, but with the other types listed above I had better results.

Might not be relevant to you as you're also having blood tests which give you a much more quantitative result. Also, I'm so sorry but I don't know which numbers are good levels, BUT I do know that you are showing progression, and that each individual woman can vary greatly, so progression is good! But maybe try some different tests as well to give you a broader idea? And otherwise it's the dreaded waiting game. Masses and masses of luck and baby dust to you x

I know it's easy to worry but those tests are both definite positives and they're not designed to be quantitative.
Don't stress yourself out worrying until you have your blood test results and scans.
Good luck

Your tests and your blood results look fine to me.

I'm so sorry you've had so many losses and I hope this one sticks.

Thanks so much for your replies @LoulouM12 @cloudy477654 @TheShellBeach

It's so hard to not worry about it all but I know my HCG was really low to start and with my track record I don't hold out a lot of hope although everyone around me is telling me to try to be positive.

I'm frightened to even hope that this is finally my baby. I'll try to remember to update this post with the outcome x
