Medical opinions please, Rhesus neg/baby pos, bump to upper back

I am rhesus neg and baby is pos, and I just had a bit of a bump to the upper back - deckchair ripped and my upper back landed on the bar below - nothing around the bump area and no real sense of having been hurt, just surprised. Does an impact like this to the upper back count as "abdominal trauma" for the purposes of anti D/sensitisation? The bump was not a big one but my husband is worried and its worrying me now.
Thanks in advance xx

No. There is no risk of internal bleeding or placental disruption.

Thank you!!! My husband is such a worrier and it rubs off on me, and my only option where I live would be to go and waste someone's time in A and E to be told not to be ridiculous. Thanks again xx

It is better to be ridiculous than sorry. We can't assess the seriousness of it from this amount of information. Can you call your midwife to reassure you?

MarigoldExpress · 05/07/2024 17:51

No I'm not in the UK I don't have a midwife to call. On a Friday night or weekend it's basically just A and E. What further information would you need to assess the seriousness?

I'm not sure what I could tell a midwife over the phone that I haven't said in my post?

It's probably fine but better to run it by a professional. Does your hospital have a specific maternity casualty/emergency unit? I'd just ring them for advice. Whatever hospital you are attending should be able to give advice like this over the phone even if no casualty specific unit. Even ring labour ward just wherever you can speak to a midwife.
