If you experienced nausea before labour started

Was it a one off episode or did it build up over the course of a few days/weeks?

I had severe nausea and vomiting in my first trimester, had to be on prescription medication until well past 20 weeks. It never completely went away even after stopping meds although weeks 25-33 it was mild and occasional.

I’m now 35 weeks and getting mild-moderate nausea every day. Two days ago I had a sudden strong bout and was about to throw up (but didn’t).

I know it can be a sign labour is near… but not sure what kind of pattern I should be looking out for?

Yes I did, and eventually the vomiting made my waters break.

Oh wow @CrossingBoundaries007 were you mildly nauseous for days or was it more of a sudden bout which led to it?

Yes I was sick when I started labour. I didn't realise why I was being sick though. Vomiting and nausea started few hours before contractions if I remember rightly.

Never knew it was a symptom of starting labour and I did all the nct classes

I did, bad nausea and diarrhoea. Thought I had a bug even though some people had said it could happen and I was 40+12 😂 dumbass

By the time I realised my contractions went straight to 2-3 mins apart and I had no waters when examined

All fun and games!
