Oblique lie 27 weeks

My midwife has told me my baby is laying in the oblique position with his head in my left hip and his body diagonal. She said often babies will tend to move in time for birth however to try and do things to encourage him to move position.

Has anyone else had a baby in an oblique position, what worked for you to move baby? I know he still has time to move as my midwife has said but she said sometimes babies get comfy and sometimes don't move position so I'm just thinking of how I can get him to move naturally?

Hey OP. My baby was transverse around 25 weeks and a few weeks later was head down and she’s been head down since. You’ve got loads of time yet for your baby to turn

I wouldn't worry at all, baby is still small and can move loads. But it can help to spend time on your hands and knees, or over a birthing ball.

I don't think they worry until about week 36 so plenty time yet!

There's a website called spinning babies that's supposed to have loads of really good information about getting baby in the right position

Mine was in the right position and 3/5 engaged at 32 weeks and by 36 weeks was head up again and he's not moved now at 39 weeks, cheeky monkey!
