Had a really good week, sicky feeling finally gone just felt a gush and this came away. No idea what to do as it’s not red.

Kindly, there's nothing that can be done at this early stage regardless of what's going on and you'll be sitting in A&E all night long
So I'd stay home and rest if I were you

RubySloth · 02/07/2024 00:15

Definitely not an a&e situation.

Scrambledchickens · 02/07/2024 00:21

that looks like vaginal discharge, definitely not an a&e matter.

Haggisfish3 · 02/07/2024 00:21

You do make a lot more vaginal secretion when you’re pregnant. Something no one tells you about!

I’ve been there OP and I know how stressful it is but unfortunately if you go to A&E you’ll be at the very bottom of the priority list (because you’re not in any danger and there’s nothing they can do regardless, sadly) so you’ll sit there for hours only to be told to go home and wait to see what happens. I had discharge like this in both pregnancies – one ended in miscarriage, one is now a healthy 6 year old. It really means nothing. The best thing you can do is wait – or book a private scan if you can afford it. Hope you get some sleep.

Lilacapples · 02/07/2024 00:27

I wouldn’t go to A&E. I’d just monitor at home and book in with your GP if you’re worried tomorrow. You’ll sit in A&E for hours and there won’t be anything they can do.

Calamitousness · 02/07/2024 00:28

No point in ED as nothing to be done. However it looks like discharge and nothing sinister. Maybe need a swab for any infections like BV which you can bring up at your antenatal appointment whenever you have one around 12 weeks.

Lillybobs86 · 02/07/2024 10:54

I think I had a couple of small gushes around this time and usually was discharge.
I wouldn't worry unless you're bleeding or in pain.
If you want reassurance I would arrange a private scan.

A and E - filling more than two pads in an hour for more than 2 hours

Strawbs92 · 02/07/2024 12:41

Definitely not A&E, this would only be if you are bleeding and in any pain which you aren't.
Can you not call your local midwifes office just for advice for reassurance? Looks and sounds just like discharge to me, nothing to be concerned about.
