Restless legs and round ligament pain combo 27 weeks

I went in for a routine appointment with my midwife today and brought up that I tried what they told me, increasing water intake and using a support belt, resting, etc, but I was still in what I feel is an abnormal amount of pain for a pregnant woman not even working and just reaching the third trimester.
Has anyone here experienced a combination of persistent round ligament pain and restless legs? I ask because when we spoke today she said I needed to get up and down slower and not "plop" and "jump out of bed" but I don't even realize I'm doing it until the pain hits and I don't do it all the time. She also said no jerky movements but RLS doesn't care if I'm not supposed to make jerky movements, they just happen. I am taking my prenatals to try to increase any vitamin deficiency without taking something I shouldn't. Would completely cutting out caffeine relieve this? I mostly drink sprite, but I have an occasional coke or coffee as a treat.
I know heat can irritate RLS but the fan blowing on my feet overstimulates me and I jerk and shake my legs even worse.
I see women in this stage of pregnancy and further literally WORKING and tending to their kids they already have so I just don't understand why I'm in so much pain that it literally brings me to tears at least every other day. And it's only when I move, it's definitely round ligament pain and not preeclampsia or Braxton Hicks or a UTI.

Just a side note, my baby is in the 65th percentile for size and I am 27 yrs old, 5'2 and 114 lbs at almost 28 weeks pregnant. My midwife said my hips are fine for a vaginal birth and mostly just lectured me about moving too much and too fast. I just don't understand how I can do any less any slower!! I only experienced relief in the past two weeks for one afternoon after 2 days of bed rest. I am just losing my flipping marbles y'all. Please help 🥲

I had restless legs in my first pregnancy (yet to start in my second!) and I got relief from sitting and sleeping with my legs elevated. A lot of people really rate magnesium cream too but I haven’t tried that yet.

RLS is a nightmare!! I had it early on in both pregnancies. For me lying flat helped, at least to start with. I don't know if this is linked but I ended up having ferritin infusions in both pregnancies due to anaemia...the RLS stopped instantly. No midwives or Dr's have seemed to link anaemia with RLS but certainly seemed to be the case with me - might be worth looking into?

Restless leg syndrome was an indication of iron deficiency for me as well. Bring it up with your doctor/midwife, you probably need to go on strong iron tablets.
The itchy feeling disappeared for me once my iron levels went back up.

I have been using magnesium spray oil on my legs every night since about 30 weeks for RLS. Makes such a huge difference!

Is it worth referring yourself for physio? Or asking your midwife or GP to? They can do a proper assessment to make sure it is round ligament pain.
