I am thinking of setting up a pregnancy coverage service, supporting parents in a practical sense (non-medical) as they get ready for baby and parenthood.

I live in central London so I have good access to the best shops and facilities, private hospitals, nanny agencies etc.

I have a long list of ideas, but…

What services would you have wanted support with when you were pregnant?

What did you not know when pregnant that you wish you had known?

Any helpful recommendations or thoughts greatly appreciated!

Oddly I want someone to get my bits for the hospital ready. I have a list from online but every time I look at it I feel completely overwhelmed! It’s the only thing I seem to worry about 🙈

No advice, but that struck me as the funniest thread title I’ve seen in a while.

I don’t think there would be anything I would have needed help with. I found pregnancy uneventful and worked up to the end.

Your service might be more suitable for single mothers who have little help? Especially after the baby is born.

On a side note, I don’t think of Wandsworth as central London, more SW London!!

I imagine some people would want help finding the best classes, doulas, places to buy prams etc. Nursery designers, baby shower planners and people to put together the basics of a registry for them.
perhaps also meal prepping or some meal
Service and Nanny’s that are available to care for existing children. I think you’d have to be quite rich though to want all that and to not just set up your own shower or Google it yourself.

alternatively as a pp suggested it may be a helpful service to people with less support, though I suspect this will generally be people with less money.
