Slapped cheek syndrome and teacher

Hello

there have been cases of slapped cheek in my school and class. I’m currently waiting for my antibodies test to come back and am out of class until it does. I’m past 20 weeks and hoping I’ve already had it.
just incase they don’t come back positive, what have other people been advised to do? The advice ranges online from avoiding schools completely to avoiding until 3 weeks after the last infection to going in as normal.
any advice would be great thanks!

This happened to me in my school. My midwife advised staying away from the school completely and given other tasks to do whilst working from home. She wrote a formal letter which I gave to my head teacher. My test came back that I had antibodies so I returned but it was agreed that I wouldn’t teach in any class that had a case of slapped cheek.
If I didn’t have antibodies then my midwife said I would remain at home until the school was clear of infection. There was no mention of the timescale for that though, she said it would be based on my results and speaking to personnel.

Thank you so much! I’m awaiting my antibody results so praying they’re positive so I can go back. Otherwise it might be a case of me having to wait until they’re all clear. I’ll give my midwife a call today and ask her advice too.
