Moving abroad after receiving MATB1 form

I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and receiving care in the UK and I will receive my MATB1 form from my midwife at 20 weeks. My partner lives overseas and I am thinking of going abroad to be with him after I receive my form to have the baby abroad and be under their care. (my job is very flexible so I can relocate but his job, he cannot) Can I do this? Will the midwife say anything about this? Or do they have no say on what I do with my life..

And health insurance! NI used to cover healthcare when in the EU but not sure now.

Just to add * I will still be working for a UK company paying my taxes and NI. I work remotely just abroad

How long are you going for? If more than six months then you shouldn’t be paying your taxes and NI here. And you should most likely be paying them where you’re living. That could be true even if you’re not away that long. Your employer might also need to by paying taxes where you go to live so you will need to inform them where you are and how long you intend to be there for.

I assume maternity pay is only for people employed in the UK too. You won’t be employed here if you won’t work here, so you should probably check whether your entitlement changes.

Are you the one who's been living in South America?
