I’m 20 weeks with no3 I’m in agony with PGP, at the end of the day I can barely walk. It’s been 5 days will it ease? The midwife said it may or may not but genuinely with 2DC already and a full time business I run from home the thought of another 17 weeks in this much pain is giving me heart palpitations! I am taking paracetamol and using a hot water bottle the midwife is going to give me a prescription for low dose of cocodamol as the pain is waking me frequently through the night. Has anyone any tips for helping? Does it ease off?

I sympathise. The only thing that worked for me was going for 1 hour swim 3-4 times a week. I was told to avoid breast strokes. There is a charity that supports women with PGP - please Google it up

Also do a search on Mumsnet- PGP is very common

Thank you, I enjoy swimming so may look at trying to see if it helps.

You may need a support belt. This can help. Also sleeping with a pillow between your knees to keep aligned.

Pillow between legs helped me. It did ease for me.

Thank you I’ve been looking at a belt so much choice? Any you’d recommend? Will try the pillow the midwife recommended to try that too. Thank you

I had it bad… wore a belt and spent a lot of time in water. It continued after birth. Got a good physio and did the exercises.

Sadly I wasn't supported at all and had zero idea about belts and much else while I was pregnant, so I can't help on that. Just try and stabilise yourself as much as you can, keep your pelvis square when sitting and standing up etc.
