I know most of us can't say for sure, but is there anything you did towards the end of your pregnancy that you are convinced made you start labour or made labour more productive?

When I was pregnant with my DD35, I recall vividly my Midwife suggesting a hot curry and hot sex to bring on labour Grin

sex and a massage (not at the same time)

I did everything but they came at 41+6 and 41+5

A sweep seemed to work for me. She did it on the Tuesday morning and predicted I'd meet the baby by the weekend. My waters broke that evening

I was 39+3 so it was a reasonable time to go!

Walking, walking and more walking! We spent a day trawling around shops and getting all of the last minute things we needed, I went into labour that night and spent most of it pacing back and forth because I just couldn’t sit still. DD was born after 8 hours and was 8 days early.

Both my labours started only when I had totally convinced myself that I would be induced.

Dd1 - sex. She was 4 days early!
Ds - no idea, my waters broke at 10 days early and I hadn't even eaten spicy food.
Dd2 - the induction pessary did it at 36+6. I was having huge kidney problems and they wanted her out. I must have been ready enough because a single pessary and no drip had her out within 12 hours.
