Ate unpasteurised tortellini 😭

Hi everyone!

Just hoping for some reassurance as I’m stressing

I ate the Rana brand tortellini tonight, bought from Asda. I boiled it for 2.5 mins as instructions said, then it was put under the grill for 5 mins.

I’m so annoyed at myself. I checked the ingredients afterwards and it had ricotta in it and mozarella that just said MILK, it didn’t say pasteurised

Do I need to stop worrying because it was heated up?
First time mumma here and an over worrier 😩

You’re triple covered - boiled, grilled, and mass produced/long shelf life ie definitely pasteurised.

Have you ever had listeria before, OP?

There is so much information and scaremongering, of course women get anxious. It's ok, you cooked it.

Curious why you grilled the tortellini though?? Did you add cheese on top, made it like a pasta bake?

Relax. Even if it wasn't pasteurised the chances of you actually getting ill are minuscule.
