Back support - office chair

I am 25 weeks pregnant and currently work in an office 5 days a week, most of the time sitting (I do try and walk around as often as possible).

By about 2/3pm my back is really sore. I've tried adjusting my chair and have brought in a back support I had at home (it's too big for my office chair) with no luck.

Can anyone recommend support they have used before, ideally whilst pregnant? There are so many options online it's hard to know what will actually help!

Thanks!!

Your company should provide one.

They are happy to provide one however I am the office manager so will need to order myself. We are a small firm.

Hi
I don’t know what it was called as a friend gave it me but I had one that goes just below shoulder blades. It felt weird at first but once I got used to it it really helped my back.

You may need an OH referral to identify the best type of back support for your needs.

I have a specialist chair now but before that I had what was called a D shaped lumbar support roll. It clipped around my chair and provided additional lumbar support whilst I waited for my OH chair to arrive.

A colleague had back support which was shaped like an upside down upper case T. I tried that after she had her specialist chair delivered and it really didn't work for me at all. The wrong product can actually make things worse so it's worth getting specialist advice.

That makes sense. I've tried the one out I already had to day and not feeling great. Will look at what our work healthcare covers as may well be included.
