Sleeping in 3rd trimester

I'm 36 weeks and really starting to struggle with being extremely uncomfortable. I am only 5ft 1 and my bump is actually not massive but from below my boobs down to my belly button its really solid..making it very hard to bend. I am dealing with it in the day but sleeping is an absolute nightmare. I'm awake every 1-2 hours in a lot of discomfort because if I'm in one position too long it hurts. I'm aware this may well be the norm but wondering if anyone has any tips for positions/sleep aids/ anything that might help..
I have a king size bed to myself (DH has moved to the spare room!) and a big U shaped pillow but there just doesn't seem to be a comfortable position I can stay in for longer than an hour.

I'm 36 weeks and the only way I can't get comfortable but will have to switch sides during the night is to put my pregnancy pillow between my Keta I have a bbhugme then I tuck a regular pillow behind me to stop me turning in my back and another pillow in front of me kind of under my bump to support it and I make sure the pillows I have my head on are high enough and that I'm not to far down in the bed if that makes sense otherwise it's to hard for me to turn and try get myself up . I basically have a fort of pillows around me.

I’m just a bit smaller than you and found that most pregnancy pillows were really uncomfortable due to my size. I used a normal pillow to prop up my bump and a pillow in my back to sort of wedge me in. I used to fall asleep sitting up and then slouch myself down when I woke as I found it really difficult to fall asleep on my side due to the pain.

Thanks both I think it's a case of trial and error to find a comfortable enough position to actually fall asleep. I know sleep will be compromised when baby comes but at least when we do get it it'll hopefully be more restful because this is not fun!
