Hi guys, I am currently 4 weeks, only found out yesterday I am pregnant ☺️, this is my first pregnancy and I am worried about my diet and what I can and can't eat. I am going to my familys house for tea today and they are having homemade sausages rolls, corned beef pie and steak pie. Is there any risk if I eat any of these things cold? Everything has been baked today. I know this is a stupid and long question but as no one knows I am pregnant, I can't ask for advise. If I am paranoid now, god knows what I will be like later 🤣

Hi OP, congratulations! As far as I know there should be no issue with any of those foods! I just had my baby 4 weeks ago and I ate all of those things while pregnant and we’re both perfectly fine! X

I think it was easier when we didn't know we were pregnant until 8 weeks or so! So, don't worry, there are very few things to avoid, and the risks of even those are very very low. I think the most important at this point is avoid alcohol and caffeine, and take folic acid/a good pregnancy multivit.

Congratulations 😁

@Mrsttcno1 thank you for replying. I thought it would be ok, it's just me being paranoid over anything else. It's one of the downsides of not telling anyone straight away, we have to figure it out for ourselves hahah.
Congratulations on your new baby ☺️ x

Be careful of undercooked meats, soft mould ripened and unpasteurised cheeses (are ok if heated), cured meats (also ok if heated). Moderate caffeine consumption and avoid alcohol.

@KnittedCardi thank you, it's hard when we have Google hahaha. Yes, I am taking folic acid and have already cut down my caffeine intake so I have that part taken care of haha x

As a rule, anything cooked is fine. Only follow NHS advice and don’t google
