35 weeks and labor pains?? 3rd pregnancy? Confused ?

So I am 35.4 weeks today. I've had 2 precious children .First born at 41 weeks and 2nd born at 42 weeks. This pregnancy hasn't been much different to those . With past babies I had no signs of labor until the day they were born.
This time round I am quite confused and a little bit worried. I'm ONLY 35 weeks .. for the last 3 days I've had : strong braxton hicks that then turned to menstrual like cramps in the tummy and back. Alongside sharp random pelvic pain and pain in my thigh (which I get with every period I have ) I've tried to timethem but there is not pattern. Sometimes a "cramp/contraction" last 3 minutes every 5/10 minutes for a few hours and then goes away.. is this preterm labor starting? Is this just practising ? Even though he's my third and I'm 4 weeks from due date? I've tried all the tricks to make them stop but they keep coming back after a 2/3 hours of nothing during the day ? Any ideas? Thank you anyone who helps :)

Sorry you're experiencing this OP, I don't think there's much you can do if labour is going to begin early but I would give your triage unit a call so they can check your cervix and see if this is the start of anything.

It might me a good idea to start thinking about childcare arrangements should baby be on the way a bit early

It sounds like Braxton Hicks to me, but I'd ring triage if it feels as though they're regular for a while and/or getting more intense.

With my first and second pregnancies I had no Braxton Hicks (or at least, they weren't painful).

With my third pregnancy, I had Braxton Hicks that were painful and often regular for a little while before they died down, from about 32 weeks.

My first two pregnancies and labours were very similar, but the third was a bit of a wild card with the Braxton Hicks, plus my labour was very different (shorter and easier)! They do say that all pregnancies are different...

I'm a nightmare as I don't like 2 make a fuss.. and if it was true labour surely it would be constant? But its seems to taper off when I go to bed .. I had cramps and when 2 bed.. randomly threw up .. fine this morning, but just walked into town and back is killing me.. not sure if that's just cos I'm so heavy now.. I'll call them.. do u think it sounds like early labour ? Im scared x
