Lower back pain at 5 weeks

Has anyone else had lower back pain at around 5 weeks? I've had a miscarriage in the past so a bit concerned. It just feels as though everything's moving downwards and I'm going to start bleeding. I know noone can know for certain how it will go, but just wondering if anyone else has had lower back pain at this point and it been fine.

No one can tell you either way.

There's nothing really there at 5 weeks to be able to feel "moving down"

Pregnancies bring all sorts of aches & pains, mostly totally normal & harmless to the baby

Try to relax and be patient

@turkeymuffin thanks for your message. I'm sure you mean well but I did literally say I know noone can say how it will go. I'm just asking if others have experienced this.

And you misinterpreted what I meant about moving down. Of course I know there's nothing there. I meant the cramps are moving down. It feels just like when I'm having a period.

I'm trying to be relaxed and for the most part am doing okay but it's really hard when you've had a previous loss.

Yes me! I had bad achey back pain at around 4-5 weeks to the point I couldn’t get comfortable in any position. It just gradually died down. It’s actually what prompted me to test. All I can think of is that it was the egg burrowing down into my endometrium or some sort of hormone shift. I hope this all works out for you OP😊

Lower back pain was the first symptom I had in this pregnancy at between 4 and 5 weeks - it's very normal, the extra hormones mean lots of stuff starts happening with your ligaments and muscles very early on in pregnancy. I also had a previous loss so totally understand the anxiety, but there's definitely no need to jump from 'back pain' to 'miscarriage'.

Thank you both. That's really helpful! Keeping all crossed
