What are the implications of being induced? Other than going into labour and having a baby!!

I am fairly big for my dates but not elephantine, but the hospital is beginning to mutter the induction word. Am only 36 weeks so feel it is all a bit hysterical. Anyone else had this?

No need for induction unless any health implications or other reason for it...and you could go a full 14days over before that happens..will need to be monitored mind.
Being induced could and i say could make labour more painful, but i know some who have had easy, fast births!
And induction itself can take a while and a few goes, you may need a drip, which could limit mobility!
If you have to for yours and your babies health then, i would do as hospital says but otherwise stand your ground unless they can give you a good reason why?
I'm all for letting nature take its course! Good Luck..it wont be too much longer.
