Help! Dont know what to do about my hemmoroids

I've been suffering with hemmoroids for about 2 months and I've tried all the at home remedies. Eating more fibre, using sitz spray and also Anusol cream and suppositories. But I have this one big painful hemmoroid that I push in and it comes out 2 seconds later. It has made it a struggle to walk or go out in public. I contacted the GP last week to make a phone appointment. The doctor is meant to call me back on the same day but instead I got a call from a nurse who took down all my information, told me he'll relay this to the doctor and they will give me a call on the same day. I got no phonecall back. So frustrating. I am going to call my GP first thing Monday morning but until then I was wondering do the doctors even do anything for hemmoroids while pregnant? Do they expect us to just deal with the pain until we give birth? I also don't know if I should continue using Anusol because I've heard you should only use it for a week but it is the only thing helping me through the pain. I was wondering if anyone can share their experience. Would appreciate it sooo much!

It could be thromboised so i would want it checked out. They are incredibly painful and you aren't even able to take a good pain relief when pregnant.

I’d most definitely call back, I had them pregnant too and it was agony. Are you constipated OP? Or straining on the toilet? I used to bathe in plain water, the pharmacist can also give you something too I’m sure. I had used 2 different creams and they eventually went. It’s so uncomfortable!

I had them postnatally. It needed some serious strong pain relief prescribing. If you're in agony, I would consider out of hours via 111 or walk in centre especially given you've failed to get help via your GP to date.

When I had them after giving birth I applied ice to shrink them and diclofenac (sp) anti inflammatory to reduce the swelling.

@flyingbeet Found the gel the GP prescribed was better than OTC stuff. What I would say is mine weren’t too bad before birth (just a bit annoyed) but after birth were AWFUL 😣

Yes they do expect you to wait it out… Which is awful. I suffered terribly with my daughter, pre birth and following, had a 3rd degree tear too which made the whole thing a mess! They wouldn’t entertain anything to do with surgery until one year post partum, stating they have to give that time to “heal” on their own. I had an operation, didn’t work, my daughter is 6 and I still suffer sometimes. Now pregnant again, dreading the piles but going for an elective, my bum wouldn’t cope with pushing!!!
