So I know swelling and retaining fluid is probably a normal part of pregnancy but just looked at my feet as one has been paining me all day and the top of my both my feet is all swollen like as if there is a bump on the top and my ankles have swelled , should I be concerned ? Blood pressure has been fine every time it was checked .

I think you should phone 111 now and ask them.

I'd just call your maternity unit and asked for their opinion. Always better to be safe than sorry x

Definitely call into maternity triage just to be safe.
However I have had on/off swollen feet from 20ish weeks - 30 now (puffy and I can feel it when moving my ankle or going on tip toes for example) and I phoned triage and they said they just don't excited about swollen feet in pregnancy but they did reassure me and tell me what they would be concerned about so I knew what to look out for 😊 hopefully all absolutely fine for you but sometimes it's just easier for yourself to call them. It's why they're there.

Do get yourself checked but I had terrible swelling with my second. Couldn’t get shoes on, carpal tunnel and had to wear wrist splints. Nobody seemed interested and my bp was ok. The week after birth was a bit of an experience peeing and sweating it all out. Lost 2 1/2 stone in ten days and the baby was only 7lb

Swollen feet can be a symptom of pre-ecclampsia, so it's always worth a call to your midwife
