Hi,
I know this happens to lots of people and nobody can tell me for sure, but yesterday I had a scan and everything was measuring fine at 7+3 with a great heart beat. Today, I have had sudden cramps and a small amount of pink spotting. Is there anything I can do to help the odds of not having a MC? I have an active job so don't know whether I have just over exerted myself? Should I call a doctor, midwife or just wait? Any advice is appreciated!

this is quite common after a transvaginal ultrasound. You can call your local EPAU if you are still worried though. Try not to panic xx

Thanks. It's hard not to! It's been a journey to get this far and I can't face another MC 😔

Totally - easier said that done I know!
I called my EPAU with my spotting and they booked in a new scan for me and told me to present at the gyne a&e if got worse.
hopefully it’s just cervix irritation from the scan x

Are you on progesterone? If you’ve had a previous miscarriage and you’re spotting early in a pregnancy then it’s recommended you’re given progesterone. It’s been shown to reduce the chance of another miscarriage. Speak to the EPU about it. You can also try your GP but they’re often not very knowledgeable about it! But I agree with the other posters that because of the timing it’s very possible it’s irritation after the TV scan. I know how nerve-wracking every little thing can be after precious losses - I hope you get some reassurance.

No I'm not on Progesterone, that's interesting. I don't think I can contact the EPU directly so will call the doctors tomorrow and push for it, thanks. I think it's the cramping as well that's got me really worried.
