Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this…
I’m 34 weeks..
For the past month or so, if I am stood up or walking for longer than 10 minutes then the front of my bump (mainly an area slightly to the left) feels really really sore and bruised. It’s very hard to explain but it’s so so painful, i never experienced this with my first but I have an anterior placenta this time so I’m wondering if maybe it’s the pressure from my placenta and the way baby is laid that’s causing it? I’ve googled and it says abdominal pain can be one of the signs of placental abrubtion but I’m not really worried it’s this as it’s more a sore/bruised feeling and don’t think it would come and go if it was that! Baby is moving as usual, I have a midwife appt on Wednesday so will mention it to her then too but
It’s getting worse the further on I get and I’m honestly in agony with it and so fed up and baby is only going to get bigger

I had this when my breech baby would turn halfway and sit transverse for a bit before pinging back again. It hurt but wasn't an actual issue. Settled when she eventually went head down.

Seeing your title made me think “yes I had that” I can’t remember why (sorry). But both my pregnancies were different: PGP with one but not the other antenatal depression with one and not the other. But both my children are fine. Would probably mention it on Wednesday but I wouldn’t “worry” about it. Although definitely call MW if you are worried!

I had that too with my first. There’s a nerve that can get pinched at that point as it comes over the pelvic brim apparently

Thank you ladies it’s reassuring to know that it’s not just me who’s experienced it, I’ll definitely mention it Wednesday but hopefully it settles down because I can’t bear another possible 6 weeks of this pain!

I have this too when the baby’s head is on the left side squeezing my bowel/intestine. Especially when I am constipated (sorry tmi).

I'm 32 weeks and called the midwife on the weekend about exactly this! Felt a bit stupid but she said it could just be a combination of muscles stretching and tenderness from baby's position. Told me to take some paracetamol and call again if worried. I've had it on and off for a few weeks now, also worse when constipated actually.

It disappeared after a while, but still a bit tender every now and again so will mention it again at my next appointment. Please let me know how you get on and what response you get, also hope it doesn't return for you as it's really not pleasant!

Ahh that’s very interesting. I have actually been quite constipated for the last few weeks too so maybe that makes it worse! I’ll definitely mention it to my midwife tomorrow but I have a feeling that mine will say the same, I’m having regular growth scans and cord blood flow/placenta checks and everything has been fine so other than pressure from baby I can’t think of anything else it could be! I’ve actually got it again tonight after doing a bit of walking in the park with my toddler today, I guess I’m just going to have to put up with it most days and hope baby makes an arrival in a few weeks time 😅haven’t thought to take paracetamol but will try that

hope it gets better for everyone else experiencing this too ! 😩
