Booking bloods - antibodies - help!

I rang the community midwife office yesterday and I’m now stressed out and I can’t find anything clear online.

I had a missed miscarriage last year and when it came to going to the hospital it was awful because they couldn’t do bloods to check if my hcg had dropped, as my booking blood test results were nowhere to be found and were never put on my badger notes app.

Because of this, this time round I’ve chased up my bloods as they’re once again still not on the app. Spoke to a midwife yesterday who went through them all and said everything looked fab, nothing coming up on bloods or urine.

However, at the end she did say that they have found I have an antibody. She said not to worry about this as it’s nothing to worry about right now, but obviously I am very worried. I’m pregnant having previously miscarried and I don’t know what this means, what it might mean, what antibody is this and what could it be?

I’ve read about the antibody issue if you are rhesus negative, however I am rhesus positive so it can’t be this.

Can anyone clarify what this means? I’m panicking and I hate not knowing what this could be, especially given my prior experience. She just said don’t worry for now but I don’t know when they will speak to me more about this and I’m on edge. (I’m 10w3d)

This has info on the bloods

Antibodies
Sometimes unexpected antibodies (foreign blood proteins) are present in the blood stream from a previous pregnancy or blood transfusion. In rare cases these can affect the developing baby.

I’ve read all of the information on the NHS website and it doesn’t clear anything up at all. It almost exclusively talks about the antibodies if you’re rhesus negative, which I’m not, this is why I’m panicking as there isn’t information anywhere.

Possibly a new additional check they are running? A trial? An add on for women who have had previous losses?

It certainly doesn't ring a bell from any of my pregnancies, but it's been a few years.

The only way to be sure is to ring her back and ask.

(Maybe she'll reflect that being so mysterious isn't all that helpful if she realises you've spent a weekend stressed over it.)

my 28 week blood test showed I had ‘funny antibodies’ the wording my midwife used which was a little unsettling. But she was not concerned and told me there was no risk to me or the baby. There should be a midwife at the hospital who is in charge of all the screening tests who you should be able to call and ask for further information. I can’t remember what the antibodies were now, it wasn’t anti-d or rhesus. When I’m home I’ll find out and let you know!
