Baby measuring small, no heartbeat..

Wondering if anyone has been through similar and had a positive outcome? I’m finding things hard after a recent miscarriage and I know I just need to wait for my next scan but it’s tough.. any help appreciated.

The first day of my last period was 24th Feb, cycles usually 29 days however this was only my second period following an early miscarriage in December (not sure if that changes things).. I had a loss of symptoms about 2 days after finding out I was pregnant, these have gradually increased and I now have a lot of nausea. I’ve had a small amount of blood and booked a reassurance scan for supposedly 7w+3, however baby showed no heartbeat and was measuring 4w+6.. they deemed it “inconclusive” as the baby is measuring under 7mm so they wouldn’t expect a heartbeat at this stage, but would mean my dates were off? Or that baby has stopped growing 💔

My gut tells me this is bad but my heart is holding on hope. We have another scan 30th so I’m keeping everything crossed but the wait is killing me.

Has anyone been through similar? Or can offer any advice?

Thank you ❤️

Thank you all so much for your kind words on this thread and for sharing your experiences.

I have some good news to update - our scan on Tuesday showed baby measuring at 8w+4 with a lovely strong heartbeat 🥹

I’m so happy and grateful, and very aware of how often this isn’t the case for others. Our 12 week scan is on 24th May so fingers crossed we don’t have any concerning symptoms or problems and that scan goes well too 🤞🏼🙏🏼

For anyone else reading this, there’s no real way of knowing what outcome you will have if you’ve got the worry of baby measuring small/no heartbeat initially, but I hope this is reassuring and comforting that it could just be your dates aren’t quite right and all will work out in the end ❤️
