Reduced fetal movement 28+2 weeks

I am 28wks + 2 pregnant as of today. So I noticed reduced fetal movements yesterday, or even yesterday night and then called the triage line at midday yesterday and came in. They said she sounded fine but if I was still worried to come back in. I came back in in the evening and they monitored her for an hour and she did get more lively then. They booked me a scan for today, and this morning her movements are reduced again. She does move, I do feel her but it feels so week and less frequent. I know going into the scan this afternoon is the right thing to do but I suppose I'm just so worried.

Does anyone else know what could be going on or have you experienced anything similar? Thank you!

Do you know where your placenta is? I have an anterior placenta so at the front and don't always feel strong movements, in fact when last had a Doppler they were having to chase the baby around but I couldn't feel a thing and I am 31 weeks. You have done right to get checked out but it is likely that your baby is getting bigger so has less space to really kick out and/or may have just shifted position.

Hi JRT fan.. I'm not sure how to reply to you on here, I'm totally new to this site!

I have a posterior placenta so I should be feeling her well. Thanks for your suggestions though, as you said they can move around and hide! I had the scan and everything was fine, she was positioned with her legs right up with her feet in front of her head basically and the midwife said when she's like that she won't be able to kick well so maybe that's why I'm feeling her less. I also saw her doing that position on another scan I had a few weeks ago and she was even holding onto her feet with her hands. Hopefully that's the answer!
