I absolutely love my AirPods but have just read a few (albeit pretty low evidence) articles that suggest you shouldn’t use during pregnancy as it increases risk of miscarriage and adhd. Has anyone been told this by their healthcare provider? Or is this just a bit like mobile phones 20 years ago - we don’t know the impact so best avoid ?

Thanks

I haven’t been told that by my midwife/ consultants but I’d also never asked about it or looked into it before. I imagine you’re fine, I used them throughout my pregnancies and have 2 healthy babies.

I've never been told that or heard that. Surely it would be known by now if that were true and it was a genuine causal link (not a correlation). Most miscarriages are due to chromosome issues which nothing can cause or stop. I only pay attention to NHS advice on pregnancy stuff, and don't Google.

Have you verified and triangulated this information? Because this is news to me and sounds unlikely.

It's certainly not something that has been mentioned to me, or that I've seen in any reputable source of pregnancy health advice. Instinctively it sounds like nonsense - if using bluetooth devices caused miscarriage then most pregnancies now would end in miscarriage!

yeah I thought it sounded like rubbish but just wanted to make sure people hadn’t heard otherwise!

I've never heard this before, but don't quite know how this would be an issue but not talked about more, same with phone use etc.
