Does a nursing bra need to be bigger than maternity bra?

Want to get buying but have no idea whether my boobs will grow more and if I should get a bigger size! Thinking it may be impossible for my boobs to be any bigger than this but have a feeling they will.

People normally advise you to get measured for a nursing bra in the last month of your pregnancy.

It depends on how long you intend to bf for, but essentially, your back will probably get smaller and your boobs will probably get bigger (once they have milk in them).

it's likely to be smaller in the band size (cause your ribs shrink after the birth) but bigger in the cup?

how many weeks are you?
it may be better to get one or two a soft ones that cover a range of sizes (eg Bravado) and then get measured properly after the birth. And if you are well-endowed go to Bravissimo, not Mothercare / M&S.

I'm 30 weeks but was already a DD cup before pregnancy so am now like Lolo Ferrari! Will try Bravissimo in a month or so - ta very much.

Oh they will grow at first! John Lewis (I went to Peter Jones) are also excellent for larger sizes. I went at 37 weeks. Even the size I was fitted for (32G) did not fit at the start when the milk came in - I needed an H - but within a week or so I was back to a G and the John Lewis lady was spot on. If you are large in the cup you will want something fitted and supportive.

mothercare won't measure for a nursing bra until really near the end. My boobs were like Jordan's while breast feeding although only a C cup normally!
