Hey all, due in September and looking for a comfortable lightweight carrier for baby, I don't have a budget really, we will be going on holiday when he is round 12 weeks old so something comfy to wear for us both whilst away would be great. I've never really used a carrier before only a cheap sling from amazon but don't think this is going to cut it as plan on baby wearing a lot more this time around. Thank you

I really loved our Ergo embrace. It’s a soft fabric compared to the more structured ergos, but still clips together so no tying needed.
You can also sit comfortably with it on on plane, or if baby falls asleep on walk. I used daily from newborn to about 16 months before we moved to a toddler type (toddler Tula)

I loved my lillebaby one.
2nd born lived in it as I was also chasing a toddler around.

I got a babyjorn one off Vinted x amazing and really easy to use x

We had the baby Bjorn for our first little one but I didn’t feel confident it would properly hold her when she was really little.

I Did some research this time and got the ergo baby omni breeze, which had some great reviews as well. It covers baba from newborn (7lbs) to 45lbs. Bit pricier than the baby Bjorn but can get it on Vinted/fb marketplace if needed.

Reasons why we love our Ergobaby aerloom:

  • it's super lightweight
  • made out of materials that mean you or baby don't get too hot when wearing it (as baby gets heavier, carrying baby can be hard work! my one year old is now 11kg)
  • provides good back support (post baby, I have a painful back and it's one carrier that's been really comfortable to carry baby in)
  • really easy to put on and adjust without needing another person to help
  • our baby was very small in the earlier months and it was one of the few carriers that was ok for smaller babies to be carried in
  • baby loves being carried in it
Cons: Perhaps more on the expensive side (£210) but we feel it was well worth it because of the above

Thank you all that's really helpful, I've ended up going for the aerloom it had a good discount so thought I'd take the chance. Didn't mind spending a bit extra for this baby as we won't be investing in a ridiculously priced travel system this time around. Thanks for all the suggestions :)
