Thinking about breastfeeding

Hi all
just looking for advice and opinions on breastfeeding!
I formula fed my first who had terrible reflux and vomiting which lead to a bottle aversion and it really took its toll on me recording every feed worrying about her intake and led to pod 😩she ended up being fully off formula at 9 months (okayed by her dietitian)
I’m wondering if breast feeding my second would avoid this ie no bottle no aversion? And not actually being about to record feeds?
I would be having a section (previous emcs and a lot of trauma couldn’t do that again 🫣)
it’s not personally something I would of considered before but now I’m thinking it might be good?

you've had good advice here OP
I bf four with few problems in each case, once established
my top tip would be to hang out with other bf mothers
we have the problem in this country (assuming you are in the UK) that we don't grow up seeing our mums, aunties, sisters, cousins and friends feeding their babies- so we often lack confidence that our bodies will work or know how to deal with the problems that will crop up. We have one of the worst bf rates in the world and I refuse to believe its because British womens breasts are somehow inferior. In countries where bf is the norm, the idea of not knowing how to do it is laughable
it's culture more than anything and the presence or lack of a supportive circle around you- so make sure your partner if you have one is fully on board.

I think it could be brilliant OP! I breastfeed and have never recorded a feed (tbf in the first few weeks you wouldn't need to as babies often BF pretty constantly!). But it got so so much easier for me. And then I loved breastfeeding. Plus, the benefits for baby's health are significant.

Oh and btw I hate pumping and barely get a drop with a pump so don't feel you have to to that aspect.

It’s great that you’re considering breastfeeding. From my experience, it’s an extraordinary bonding time between you and your baby. Sure, it can be challenging initially, but many find it worth it. It’s incredible how breastfeeding can provide your baby with all the necessary nutrients and even help you save on formula costs. Plus, it’s such a comforting way to nurture your little one.
If you’re worried about how to keep an eye on your baby while you’re getting things done, a camera babyfoon can be super helpful. Knowing you can see and hear your baby from another room gives you peace of mind. Good luck with your decision—whatever you choose, remember that every mom’s journey is unique, and you’ll figure out what works best for you and your baby.

I breastfeed my daughter but she reflux and allergies still caused feeding aversions and there were weeks and months when she was really difficult to fed until I started removing her allergens and got her on high dose reflux treatment.
I kept track of the length of feeds and whilst I didn't know the quantity of her feeds I knew what length of time was a good feed for her and a poor feed. I had a fast letdown and she was an efficient feeder so a typical feed once fully established was 4-7 minutes. She would sometimes have a longer feed before bed which was more like 10-15 minutes. Poor feeds were 5 seconds long and totally about 1-2 minutes from 8am to 10pm.
We had to move to formula at 10 months and then it was completely relearning what was good feed so kind of the opposite to you. We tried 5oz for the short feeds and 8oz for the feed before bed and that seemed to work.
