I have done 2 at home pregnancy tests - Both positive 😁.
I also got confirmation from my GP this morning that I am pregnant 😁. 2 months!
this is my first baby and so excited.
Can someone tell me what I should expect over the following months from the NHS.
what and when appointments will be - like scans. Do I have to arrange them / make the appointments or are they made?

Congratulations! so I’m guessing you’re 8 weeks if you say 2 months? Check with your gp if you self refer to a midwife or if they refer you! In my area you refer yourself by phone and then a midwife will contact you to arrange a booking appointment . For me the booking appointment was made between 8-11 weeks.
During the appointment I had bloods taken and went through my medical history. I then waited for a letter for my 12 week dating scan which can be between 12-14 weeks.

Theres not a lot to do in the first trimester but once you’ve referred to midwives then they will arrange all the appointments for you.

If you look on the nhs website there’s a list of every appointment on there. Most places now require you to self refer to your maternity unit so check on their website how to do that.

8-11 weeks- booking in
11-14 weeks- scan
16 weeks- midwife
20 weeks- scan
24-26 weeks- midwife

After that you’ll see the midwife more regularly until the birth. This is just a rough list, it can vary by area and whether you are low/high risk or other variables.

Every appointment you will be required to give a urine sample and have blood pressure and carbon monoxide levels checked.
