Don’t panic. The risk is that of toxoplasmosis and is a very, very small risk. To put your mind at rest, have you ever even heard of anyone you know having toxoplasmosis?
The NHS recommend not eating foods that can cause toxoplasmosis because it’s an easy way to practically eliminate that risk completely.
The same goes for advising against foods such as soft ripened dairy products because of the risk of listeria. Or avoiding raw eggs because of the risk of salmonella.
All of these things can potentially cause harm to an unborn baby but are extremely rare. You shouldn’t worry about eating one of these things on one occasion because the risks are so slim. I’m sure a lot of pregnant women can recall a time where they’ve eaten something from the NHS “foods to avoid” risk.
If you still feel anxious about this I would advise calling your midwife who will also reassure you.

I ate cured meat all through my pregnancies.

You are more likely to get toxoplasmosis gardening or through salad leaves but there is no hysteria about that

pregnancy advice is incredibly overcautious

I exercised common sense

Yes, I did do this several times when before I knew I about the rule. The high likelihood is that you'll be fine. The risk is quite low - I've certainly never knowingly had listeria before!

To enjoy the same meats again, just pop them in the microwave for a bit to cook them and then let them cool.

I really wouldn’t worry, the advice is super cautious. I eat them all the time but try to stick to having them cooked in a pizza or pasta dish

I ate proscuitto during my first pregnancy (craving a reaaally good sandwich after the 1st trimester nausea). I actually forgot it was to be avoided and only realized after.

Baby is now 2.5, healthy, and sitting refusing to eat his dinner.

You'll be fine. If you're concerned though I recommend the book expecting better. It gives a sensible breakdown of the actual risks of the things we're told to avoid. Most of the time the risk is literally minuscule.
