Slapped cheek - wait until Monday?

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and my little boy has very clearly developed slapped cheek. I'm so annoyed it's taken me until Saturday morning to piece it together and I'm now so ridiculously stressed and worried. I've a complicated history of pregnancy loss and complications and this is honestly so tough.

I guess I just need to wait until Monday to speak to my GP? My maternity hospital is only open for early pregnancy during the week. I'm so desperate I considered calling 111 but I know that's stupid. I just wish I could have bloods taken immediately so I know what's happening. Agh.

@CryDay I don't think 111 will be able to help you. The same thing happened to me as my DD developed slapcheek. The GP took some bloods but it took ages to come back - it was just before Christmas. I mentioned at my 12 week scan, which was the same week, and the midwife checked my booking bloods in the end which showed I had immunity. Not sure if this helps but it is likely that you've had slapped cheek as it's a common childhood illness. Fingers crossed that's the case for you.

Ok so I had this exact situation with my youngest toddler during my twin pregnancy, I rang the maternity triage number and they were really helpful and managed to check my immunity from a recent set of bloods. They rang a couple a day or so later to tell me I had immunity and not to worry.

It is quite likely you will already have some immunity but you can ask for them to check. Slapped cheek is a really common virus, and does not always present with the flushed red cheeks meaning you could be exposed or have had it yourself and not even necessarily realise. My twins both have it at the moment and twin 1 had the flushed cheeks, twin 2 has all the same symptoms but no flushed cheeks.

I also had this and bloods were taken at my next maternity appointment and a Doctor actually phoned me maybe a day or two later to say I was immune.
Try not to worry, you probably did have it as a child but just see GP or call Midwife on Monday.
